The Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fishing (UTAP), is a trade union and development organization of national influence which brings together farmers and fishermen in the agriculture and fishing sectors, Founded in 1950
Role in the project
- Coordinate all activities from start to finish. It provides administrative management and communication for the entire project.
- Capitalizes on previous experiences in relation to the objective of the INTESA project and proceeds to the work of networking of all the target sectors of the project, in particular between researchers, entrepreneurs and farmers.
SOSVI
Presentation
The So.Sv.I. (SocietàSviluppoIbleo) Srl is the company responsible for the Territorial Pact of Ragusa. LeSo.Sv.I. was established on January 12, 2001, Local Development Agency, provides support for the development of local systems, enhances resources and develops a sectorial analysis of establishments operating in the field of metal construction and Agro-Industry.
Role in the project
- The organization of Living Labs, networking with companies in the sector and preparation of surveys to analyze the needs of companies for the dissemination of innovative technologies
- Best practices analysis of aboveground productions and the creation of an interactive Map Database of “Best practices”
- Organization of the Innovation camp for the implementation of a campaign on social networks, innovative services and commercialization of the INTESA model.
CREA
Presentation
CREA is a national research body that deals with agroforestry ecosystems in Italy: Fostering agronomic innovations, Responsible for the implementation of the Joint Model of Sustainable Greenhouse Production. Analysis of technologies for greenhouse heating, for pathogens and for the defense against parasites of species of interest for horticulture.
Role in the project
- The organization of Living Labs, networking with companies in the sector and preparation of surveys to analyze the needs of companies for the dissemination of innovative technologies
- Best practices analysis of aboveground productions and the creation of an interactive Map Database of “Best practices”
- Organization of the Innovation camp for the implementation of a campaign on social networks, innovative services and the marketing of the INTESA model. Also responsible for the definition of the Joint Model for the management of out-of-soldurable scultures
MONCADA
Presentation
Moncada OP is one of the main Sicilian producers of different varieties of fresh tomatoes and processed products. The family business was founded in the 1950s, but it was in 2013 that it became a producer organization. It is consolidated in the Italian market for horticultural crops with around 15 associated producers and 150 hectares of cultivated land, of which around 40% is in greenhouses with hydroponics.
Role in the project
- Test the durability and efficiency of the Model in underground tomato production.
- Dissemination of the results of the case studies to their associates with a chain effect (Living Labs organization in Ragusa).
- Propound the Memorandum of Understanding to transfer the Model
- Organize Info days for know-how transfer between SMEs

The National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS) is a public research and training establishment created in 1983.
ENIS, through the Laboratory of Electro-Mechanical Systems (LASEM) has the expertise for the development, implementation and management of projects in the field of energy systems optimization

IIT
Presentation
Private higher education body approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, inaugurated in 2012. It provides specific training in ICT applied to the computer-engineering sector of the Agro-Industry sector.

- Creation of the IT infrastructure for the online platform/li>
- Development of an information and know-how exchange system through e-learning
